How do I access emoticons? (think thats what theyre called) I don't see a setting to enable them in the options, but yet see em on peoples posts. On the bottom of my posting window it says smilies are on.

The window you are looking at is the quick reply window. Click on POST REPLY underneath the thread, or click on "Go Advanced" next to Post Quick Reply.

I just tried both methods -- the emoticons don't show up eiother way here.

You must have your editor set to basic. Go to your control panel, edit options, last drop down on the bottom, select STANDARD
