Too much space?

I have just purchased a used Glock 23 and when looking at it from the side there's a lot of space between the slide and frame. approx 1/16"

Does this sound ok? I am not familiar with Glocks at all.

My G19 is the same way. Don't worry about it. Shoot it like you stole it!

This is normal. You see some pics out there of a glock in profile where you can see the recoil spring through the space between the frame and slide. Nothing to worry about.
