trading for a carbine, need suggestions

Figured out my CCW rigs and options for the most part and now have an extra handgun to get rid of - I love trades and am thinking the next thing I do, if not a shotgun, is going to be a carbine of some kind. I have an Astra 380 and am thinking of getting a .45 or 9mm carbine of some kind.

Thoughts are on the hi-points, the marlin camp rifles and kel tecs - can anyone suggest a reliable but not truly expensive carbine to consider? I was drawn to those old marlins because they take 1911 mags for the .45 flavor...didnt care much for the CX4 Storm though.

I see you want to stay in the pistol ammo, correct. I have a old marlin camp. runs fine. hi points are what they are and seem to be either good or problematic ?
consider a M1 carbine or a SKS

dedicated colt AR in 9mm, HK USC on the high end are quite nice.

i was looking for a 9mm carbine as well, and i looked at the hi points and the kel tecs, and wasnt feeling them, i guess i'll have to wait till an HK-93, or SV-89 comes along my way.

i have a 9mm AR and it's a blast. it's also for sale in the classifieds. i don't exactly want to sell it but i wanted to go in a different direction with it but then spent all that money building an AK. whoops.
