My old setup is 3.5 pounds. It's rock solid and certainly perfect for the kowa 88. But it's a lot of extra weight to carry when hunting and all I'm using it for are my binos.
Enter the new setup. 1 pounds 11 ounces. Gets as high as 66 inches with my bino adapter. And plenty stable. The panhead is super smooth and easily holds the binos.
