This. Im thinking this type of thing happens weekly in Florida.
Ive seen loaded mags come out of a bag at Ft Myers and TSA just told them to bring them back to the car.
Yesterday was day 95 of the year. In a country of 300M+ people, with more guns than people, finding ONE gun in 95 days is not bad.
A better stat would be how many they missed. Probably 100+

I was in Tampa last month, and the TSA pulled my backpack after it went through the scanner because I had a yogurt and a frozen gel pack with it. The agent told me I could only have a frozen yogurt in my pack. I told him that the yogurt was frozen when I packed it, but since my flight was delayed for over 3 hours, it thawed out. He let me keep that unfrozen lactose contraband. Before that, I declared 2 firearms in my checked baggage. I had no problem with the firearms, but a thawed yogurt is no bueno - it's a national security threat!
