O.K. I'm sure the subject has been hashed and rehashed on here, but anyone know the current turnaround time for the free M&P mag offer??

I think I mailed mine beginning of June, still nothing? Was also looking for a few mag extensions, I spoke with Customer Service, he said he'd "get them right out in the mail for me"? Again, nothing.

I'm guessing there pretty overwheled with demand right now.

. . . plus a shortage of the mags.

Depends on caliber . . . some get them in 1-2 months and some have taken 6 months.

Just like trying to buy M&P mags, most places are out of them or when they get them, they blow out the doors immediately.

I'm waiting on the 40C, rumored that both show up with the pinky extensions...anyone confirm? Or whatever that have?

I think I got my .40c on May 31. It was the last day of the rebate for both $50 and 2 mags. I got the $50 about a month ago and I just got the mags about 3 weeks ago. This is how they came.

I've been waiting since May.
I'm anxious to get them...been thinking of selling mine and want the extra mags as part of the package.

I'd love to see what that promotion did for their sales numbers. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a factor in my decision to buy one.

I think mine took about 2 months (and for some reason arrived "opened"... not sure what's up with that). Terrific promotion, and it is my favorite pistol now that I had the trigger job.

[angry] Got up this morning and decided it was time to write "the e-mail". It has been close to a 5month wait since I sent in for the mags. I want to know when I'll have them. I'll keep you posted on S&W's response.
Planning to post this gun for sale, I want it to go with the mags and I want them before I have a chance to change my mind.

Roger that. Not to selling mine quite yet, but like several people on the thread, I'm STILL WAITING (May-June purchase).
Be curious as to what you hear back.

Since I hadn't received an e-mail response yet(sent just after 0700). I decided to call....In the customer support phone menu they have an option: "press 3 for M&P promotion questions" so I did. According to the message, all MIR checks are now "in the mail"(honest, thier words) and some magazines are on "back order" and will be shipped as soon as they arrrive.
I guess I better settle in for more waiting.

Got a response back from my e-mail this afternoon.
Here is the entire message from a Smith CS rep.
They will be ship out in about four weeks.

I kid you not...no thank you, sorry, we appriciate your business, NOTHING not even signed.

It is really very sad...how degressed customer appreciation is.

Both my 40C and 45 mags showed up pretty quick. I did have to return one set as they sent Sigma mags instead of M&P, but that wasn't too big a deal.

I was in last year's promotions, so this time it could be different.

All 4 of my 40C mags have the extension.

So i received my free mags today only problem is they weren't in the package. I received it open and empty. WTF[angry] Called them just now. They said they knew about the problem and were going to fix it and sent me them when there in stock.

Still waiting, must have been at least two months now.

I have to say that Smith and Wesson service is the best though, I always feel confident buying a used gun from them, because they will fix it.

I think mine took about 2 months (and for some reason arrived "opened"... not sure what's up with that). Terrific promotion, and it is my favorite pistol now that I had the trigger job.

Mine came opened too. WTF. I'd love to catch someone opening my mail. I live in what's considered a luxury apartment complex, not sec 8 here and last Christmas one of my packages (my dad's gift) was stolen. Reason enough for me to not get my C&R until I have a house.

None of my gun packages have ever come open. I did have a few months of American Rifleman not show up, but I think that may have been the NRA's fault.

This is reason 65,536 why I -NEVER- factor a mail-in rebate/freebie into a buying
decision.

If I fill out rebates at all it's with the expectation that you might never get the
check/swag whatever it is.

Coming Up On Three Months

I am coming up to the three-month mark waiting for my 9mm magazines from the second rebate cycle. I recently got the $50 rebate on the M&P 15FT AR15 that I purchased a month before the 9mm. As said in the previous post, it is not affecting my day-to-day activities (it came with two mags to begin with, more than I can say for my Mosquito). [wink]

There Must Be Something In The Water

Right before I hit the three-month mark, I got my two 9mm magazines today, too. They sent the correct ones and they cycle like a champ. [smile]

YAH! My two mags finally showed today, over a 3 month wait for me. They are the right caliber/size, however they are not the extended mag's like I had politely asked for.
Now, I have to call customer service AGAIN and re-request the 2 pinky extensions I was told would be "sent right out to me" in May. UGH.
I'm having a bit of a hard time shooting a 357. sig, in a compact, with 2 fingers attached!
