Hi All,

I've been away for quite a while (just got back from a 9-month stretch of military training). Before I left, I bought a Midwest Industries, two-piece free float hand guard for my AR-15. Can anyone point me in the right direction, to someone, or someplace, to install this on my rifle?

Any assistance is appreciated!

Thanks very much, colt_fan! I'm going to dremel it off, tonight - doesn't look like its too difficult an operation...

I have installed several of these and following that link is good stuff. The only other advice I would give is this:
- If you have a 4" grinder it makes the job go quicker.
- Wear good eye pro as you are cutting aluminum and it throws some serious crap.
- I didn't the whole way through. I cut almost all the way through on opposite sides and then used a large screwdriver and hammer to crack/ snap them.

Aside from that it's pretty darn straight forward and easy to go at. Let us know if you need any help!
