varying word wrap

i've noticed some posts are word-wrapped at 55th character, and the rest are full length of the message frame.

example: this thread

post #1 : line length - 54 characters
posts #2 thru #9 : full length
post #10 : line length - 54 characters

i'm using firefox 44.0. is it just me?

i got the following using FF 44.0.2 with add-ons disabled.

referencing the thread in the OP:

post #1 - wraps at 55th character: tried, anyone, me.
post #2 - wraps near the end of the frame. 2nd line: there.

Ahh. There are ads there that aren't displaying properly.

hmm. even with add-ons disabled.
the ad-server host is probably blacklisted in the hosts file via one of these anti spy/malware software that i've used.
i'll look into it.

any hosts that i need to whitelist?

anyway,
i found delivery.tacticalrepublic.com in the page source, but not in my hosts file.
however when i rename my hosts file to something else, the ad shows up:

so problem lies in the hosts file.
sorry about that. i'll figure it out.
