Caught this on NPR yesterday (I was channel surfing). NY Gov. Kathy Hochul was being interviewed and was talking about how she wanted legislation to limit the content that children on social media could access. The reporter brought up the fact that some adults might complain that they would need to provide ID in order to prove that they were old enough to access what they wanted. Hochul basically blew it off by redirecting to the "fact" that we had to limit what content children had access to. Say goodbye to the 2A to start, and now the end of the 1A is starting.

They're calling the two bills New York Child Data Protection and the Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) for Kids acts. Kathy is making a big push for these

Access to internet via id and potentially license that id just makes sense.
The whole concept of a free media and ability to express your opinion without government tracking your opinion- it just defeats common sense.
