What to do with laser cable on AR?

I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how to secure the pressure pad cable down on the AR? Or if I should bother... I've got it mounted on the side of one of the CAA light grip forend grips like this one.

I've posted a pic - maybe some electrical tape to place it down? What do you think that would be "minimally invasive?"

For the pressure pads for our PEQ-2's we just took some adhesive backed velcro and attached them to the side of the magazine well. Then we used electrical tape to route the wire along the handguards.

I use hockey tape on mine.
