What would you buy if you wanted a .22 rifle and were willing to spend $300?

I found my 30 round Bingham mags and the conversion adapter there, Those mags haven't been made for many years, And Ciener buying all of them up for his AR15 22LR conversions didn't help finding them.

I'd just make sure those pre-ban mags + post-ban adapter conversions were legal here in MA before purchasing them. They sound suspicious near the line to me.

I honestly don't care if they are pre ban or not.

Plus how are magazine adapters controlled in mass law ?

The adapter is the part that mounts to the rifle, Its not a part of the magazine.

For clarification the mag in the pic is the item that Ciener bought up its not the mags I purchased.

I really like my Rem. 552 Speedmaster.
15 shot tube mag, will shoot shorts, longs and long rifle interchangeably.
Has that "real gun" feel ,plenty accurate and doesn't seem to be very picky about what ammo I put in it.
Like any semi auto .22 it really does run best if you clean it every once in a while.
Im not sure what they cost new but if you can find a used and in good shape you wouldn't go wrong buying it.

I wasn't speaking for you, but for anybody in MA who might want such a solution.

Nobody knows...

If it's at least semi-permanently affixed to the rifle that would seem to make it probably ok. If not, who the heck knows if MA would deem it ok or not. The question would be whether it would be considered part of the rifle or part of the magazine, and your claiming it's part of the rifle doesn't fill me with confidence.

Ill find the items in question and post pics.

back in the 1980's they were very prevalent but now with the AWB and time passing they are a very rare item. Ciener buying them up for his conversions also didn't help their availability.

I found them and purchased them because they work very well and do not jam.

ruger 10/22. had one for 10 years with no problems and i only clean the barrel and wipe down the action. great gun

Here is a picture of the best magazine I have found to work with the 10/22 rifle.

I found the bare mags on http://www.gunbroker.com/ but found another magazine and adapter on http://www.rimfirecentral.com/.

Keep in mind finding the item pictured is like finding a needle in a haystack or finding the holy grail.
