I am going to buy a 91/30 Mosin tomorrow but don't know where yet. I know Collector's has them in stock and North Shore firearms just got a shipment in. Both are currently $139, but I think Collectors is $149? Should I get the round receiver or should I definitely get the hex? I'd appreciate all the info as I can get. I have waited too long to buy one and it seems like I am the only one who doesn't own one. [laugh]

Collector's had a M38 Carbine today, more $$$ but a more manageable length and should make a bigger boom at the range. My M44 is WAY louder than any 91/30 I've seen. Nice fireball out of the short barrels too [wink]

How much was it AmmoSapien? I might want the traditional 91/30 but I do love the carbine!

Nevermind, the website says $349. For that price I'd rather buy an SKS. Thanks for the info though.

Yea they are pretty pricey, but I don't mind paying extra to have the most loud, obnoxious, tooth jarring rifle on the range. If your around Andover Sportsman's club some weekend your welcome to try mine.

Collectable Arms in Merrimack had them as well and it's tax free, a nice ride and you can stop for a tour of the Bud factory (with taste testing included).

Call to check that they have what you want (and at a price you can live with) before trekking anywhere.

Thanks everyone. I am definitely buying one today (Friday) during my lunch break. Any more info/ deals you come across let me know! I appreciate all the responses. Thanks! I can't wait to get a Mosin.

I got a 1942 91/30 from North Shore Firearms today! I will post pics in the acquisitions thread after I finish cleaning it. It is in excellent shape.
