where to get a decent pair of grips(and which?)

lord-

I used to have a couple of 92's. I have really big hands so I always like grips with finger grooves. Anyway... check out

I liked their grips when I had the pistols. At the time I was able to order their custom wood grips with little beretta medallions set into them.

So, I'm not a huge fan of the hogue grips on the beretta 92fs I bought...just not comfortable imho. (they also look like shit). Any suggestions where to get a good pair of grips? And which to go with?

Don't really understand your dislike of Hogues. Have them on several of my revolvers....be it rubber, Lamo Camo, Kingswood, etc.

At our past "Field Day" at our club, brought along my 625 in .45 LC. Item was used by folks of the "general public" (with me right there behind them), and was enjoyed. Club members later fired it at 50 yards, and found it "right on". Piece has Hogue "Kingwood" grips and just simply "feels good" in the hand.

Do not understand the animosity towards Hogue. Have their rubber grips on two different 1911's, as well as a variety of revolvers. Revolver grips are all wood.

Grin, am not an employee of Hogue, wanted to say that up front. What really is the problem?

I have set of hogue grips for my 92FS and love them, however everyone's hand is different. If Hogue doesn't give you jollies, give Pachmayr a look. They make 3 styles if I recall.

I have a several pairs of grips for my 92FS. One is a really nice pair of wood grips made by "Altamont" or some such name. I'll see if I can post a pic later tonight.
