I don't want to do anything complicated, I just want to get a new finish on my holster-worn second-hand Sig P225/P6. I live in Nashua NH and wanted to find someone close by that will do it well and cheaply. No sense dropping a bunch of money on a 300 dollar Sig! I'm not sure what color(s) I will choose but that's for deciding later. I may just go with black again but who knows?
Thank you all in advance.

Is this a viable option? It seems expensive. I may mess up and I don't know how to do it properly. I tried finding tutorials online but didn't find anything useful. What would I need to do this myself and how much would it cost me? It might be a good idea since I may want to duracoat some of my other rifles as well.

You order a Duracoat kit from Lauer Custom Weaponry's site. Buy an airbrush from an AC Moore or other crafts/arts store, about $40. Then follow the directions.

Not difficult at all. You'd want to practice first with paint and wood or cardboard just to get the feel of the brush if you've never airbrushed before, but especially if you're just doing one color, it's not hard. I'm going to do a M44 in their "brick and mortar" scheme at some point.

Hm, sounds easy enough. I'm thinking of doing a two-tone job, the slide one color (black) and the frame another color. Something subdued and not to blingy. Possibly a dark green. I saw a P6 done up like that and thought it might be a good idea.

I'm hoping to find a tutorial on the net to show me exactly what I need to do. IE how much I need to strip the firearm down in order to make sure all visible parts are painted.

You need to strip it all the way down. Shouldn't be that hard. You cover the internal surfaces with masking tape so that it doesn't get in there.
