Who's buying a switchblade?

I’ve had such played since the 80s up here in Maine. I’m an early member of The Edge Company when they would mail you switch blade kits.
I went to one of their stores in Vermont with my customer ID card. And the guy was amazed at how low my number was, he says it was usually up in the high hundreds of thousands and mine was in the mere thousands.

Ah, the old knife frame game!!!! Buy A lower, get a free blade. Its not a knife until it can fire a blade...

I prefer fixed blades to switchblade and folders, but to each their own. But it's stupid that switchblades were banned in the first place. The people who come up with these stupid laws base them on emotion rather than facts and the sheep believe them.
Both knife and gun laws are based on hating the poors and minorities.

I need to come back to this thread when I have time, I bet any questions I have, have already been answered in the previous pages, but just in case:
1) Who are some decent quality Mfgs of automatic knives?
2) Which type of opening mechanism is better/more reliable? Side opening, front opening, etc.

I'll buy one if I find one interesting enough to add to my modest collection. All this ruling means is that I wouldn't have to have it shipped to a friend in New Hampshire as I have in the past.

Whether and when I carry a knife for self defense is not something I choose to share on a public forum.

I'm sad for my buddy Chuck Would. :(

He was a big auto fan. He carried this micro super-expensive auto illegally for a # of years. Just'b'cuz. It was a custom somethingorother. Knob should know what it was.

He's rolling in his barely cooled grave right now. :(
Chuck always carried a stag Hubertus . Maybe 3 1/4 inch blade. Leverlock

I dont even have to walk into your store and you talk me into dropping more cash than I expected. I should have this in a few days. Thanks
I actually have it in stock and for sale in case anyone else wants one too :)

I have always just shown people stuff and let them talk themselves into it.

Something like this would be nice to have.
But, I'd feel guilty using it to strip wire, cut up cardboard or opening a can of paint

So is it 1 1/2 ?

Shipping auto knives across state lines is the big issue and why there are waivers to sign... Its a federal thing.

No interstate commerce of switchblades unless Mil/Leo etc... And no shipments by USPS.

I was a dealer for MANY years. I had a waiver on my site...

If you are in FL, MT can send you a knife as its not crossing state lines. Same with Benchmade in OR. Instate shipments are OK.

1.5" is a Mass thing for carry ONLY IF you only have use of one hand...

Weird. The two I have were shipped to me from out of state no prob

i am not gonna lie on a federal form over a $100 piece of junk. :) it is not that high on the list of my current priorities.
they do not ship to regular civilians in MA, no.
Federal form for knives? What would the lie be? Can you explain.

Can’t go wrong with a Microtech. However Heretic Knives are about the nicest knives I have ever seen. Their OTF’s are solid. One of my favorite knives is my Manticore E Bounty Hunter. Fast, smooth and tough!
