Why is this even a thing? Do women feel so intimidated that men are in the same room wanting to learn about gun safety, handling, laws, use, that there now must be women only gun classes? I've noticed more and more are offered and "co-ed beginner classes" are few and far between now. Women gun owners are a hot new market but holy shit why can't they learn with a dude sitting in the chair next to them? We're not talking about competitive swimming or showering together here.

Same reason they want women’s aerobics or
Any other organized activity. I think (based on my wife and many previous ex gf’s statements over many years) women
Feel judged on how they look and perform and generally feel self conscious. Think it’s just a comfort/lower stress thing.

At least today's instructors are no longer teaching women that a .38 snubby is the perfect first 'girl-gun' cause it looks cute and fits great just toss it in your purse.

I self-identify (at times) as a Lesbian.

Doe I qualify?

Yeah I'm thinking if I roll with it, shave off my beard, put on some light makeup, a wig and say my pronouns are she/they. Dafuq they gonna do about it? Deny me and it's a big payout lol.
Not very safe 4 you to go there, the women may shoot your ass off accidenlly.

I've never taken a women's only class but I think I would like it as long as the other ladies in the class weren't crying or being girly.

Most women are motivated differently than men. I remember one class where I was having a really bad night. The instructor came by and said: "With all your training I'd think you would do better than that". That might motivate a guy. I already knew I was having a bad night so I didn't need him to rub my nose in it. I heard him making similar remarks to the guys in the class. Fortunately the assistant instructor watched me and then had me change one small thing and it made a huge difference.

I think for the first one or two classes most women might feel more comfortable and less stressed to be in a women's class.

word. 'harassment has zero educational value'. Been watching the Pitt and reminds me of how senior residents chew out R1s hard exactly like this.

Women are simply more comfortable in a learning and shooting environment amidst their female peers. This is why A Girl and a Gun org is gaining much rapid popularity. No different than why i DON'T want a female doctor whom could (will) laugh at my tiny dick.

[rofl] Who honestly cares? It doesn't cost me a dime. Let women have fun. Rarely do they get to connect with other women like us men do with eachother. Grrl time grrl power. I'd rather be around a happy woman than a miserable one, that's for sure.

However, I DO have a problem with gyms having "women's only section" only because they're not paying extra for having that extra section. It's the same monthly price whether man or woman, yet women have 10% extra gym space! Yes, it's a matriarchal atrocity. [bs]

I welcome it. Let them prop up their phones and live stream or record themselves for the tok/gram without dudes salivating in the corner of the video. Also, if they do their gym thot videos in that area, guys get to work out in peace and not be accused of perversions. Just make it so that recording is only permitted in the women only area.

Nope. Then either have a "men's only section" where women are not allowed, or charge women extra for having access to anything a man has available, plus that extra section for yourself with its own weights, machines, etc. The "women need to feel comfortable while working out" is a cop-out for special treatment. Trust me, I've thought about this [laugh]

I just finished season 1 last night, great show. Usually I’m yelling at the tv if I watch a medical show, so many mistakes. The Pitt is pretty much on target. so far.

Asked my wife since she has been taking Women’s handgun training courses over the last few months.

There are fundamental differences between men and women. They learn differently, they ask different questions, have different concerns.

But the biggest thing is that a bunch of men will try and teach her things like she’s a damsel in distress when she can shoot circles around most men I’ve met. She can’t stand that and I don’t blame her.

Am a regular instructor for an NRA Women on Target class at one of the clubs I belong (6X/yr.) We had several women instructors, but most of the woman attendees given an option, would gravitate to the men instructors. Interestingly, not for the reason you would expect - men have more experience, etc… The women students thought women instructors would be “too judgy.” Go figure.

Wonder how many women would complain if a class was open to men only?
Not many. Most classes I’ve taken were all men.
Who are teaching these women only classes, a man?
Sometimes the instructors are all women, sometimes a mix. I helped out at a Woman on Target event that Jon Green ran some years back.

I don’t understand why some men are getting their noses out of joint over this.

are they advertised as men only? Thats the real issue not that only men are going, but that’s it’s promoted as men only.
