Fellas, these aren't operational milsurps, but they may be of some interest to those who collect them. These are full sized cast metal replicas made by Lytle Novelties Co. back in the late 1940s through about 1960. They are solid metal with no moving parts and weigh in at about 1.5 lbs each. I ran across four of them (these two plus two revolvers) and remembered seeing at least one when I was a kid back in the 1970's. The price was right so I bought the lot of them.
There are apparently 12 of them in the series, which I now have to complete. The original cost ranged from $1.25 each up to around $4.00 when the line ended. The quality is actually pretty decent given the $1.25 cost with shipping included for these "World War II Souvenirs". From at least one source I read that the M96 is one of the tougher to find ones because people turned them into Han Solo blasters back in the day!
Here are some original adds for them.
