Seems that a patron had an accidental discharge of a firearm at an Ohio Gun Show where a bullet struck two people.

Wilmington, OH – March 15, 2025 – A gunshot fired at the Ohio Gun Collectors Association gun show on Saturday left two people injured, prompting a large law enforcement responseand a temporary lockdown of the event.

According to reports, a single round was discharged by an attendee at the show, which was held in Wilmington. The shot struck one person, while another individual was injured by a ricochet.

The venue owners have decided to cancel all future gun shows.

I know a fellow that was checking out the air-rifles displayed at Marlborough one fine year. Seems he discharged it towards the ceiling not realizing the report from just a puff of air out htat little barrel would make such a sharp crack.

Not loud enough to be mistaken as a round of ammunition going off, but enough to make the entire assemblage fall silent for a few moments.

Awkward! o_O

I recall an incident years ago around here where a guy at a show picked up and examined a 1911. He blocked the dealers view with his arm while he handled it and placed it back on the table. Dealer noticed the slide was forward. He had his other autos' slide locked. When he picked it to lock the slide, there was a live round in the chamber. He saw the guy in the crowd, notified the security and they got him.

That is getting to be a common thing with the anti gun lefties. They don't care if someone gets shot, that is their intent. They should be charged with attempted murder.

Which is ironic considering the miscreant under discussion is one of the top (actuallly #2) industrial/civil sound engineers in the country, and has spent time doing noise consulting projects for police and private gun ranges, expert wittnessing in gun range noise litigation, and is a published expert on the subject.

The air gun was a fold to cock Gamo. And strictly speaking, he was checking out the air rifle he had just bought to deal with vermin.

isn't dry firing one of those traditional springer air rifles a no-no?

The progs push the idea of doing this in their echo chambers, lack the cojones to follow through.
IIRC, there's only ever been one documented case where an anti seeded one or more guns with live ammo, several decades ago.
I’d speculate that few armed liberals are that anti-gun to pull such a stunt. And unarmed liberals probably don’t understand how guns work or are to scared shitless to try it after watching a few YouTubes.
