So 10pm SSB.. I'm in Haverhill, Ma 144.200. We will see who we can here. If you hear anyone and make a QSO post it here on the forum.

Sorry I noticed i changed the Freq last Sec to the National Calling Freq..

I'm on 144.200 USB calling CQ NES. I think I heard someone down in the noise a couple of times, but can't make out any words.

Still calling on 144.200. I wonder how much we loose due to the differences in your horizontal yagi and my vertical j-pole. Still, we've QSO's on FM simplex before.

My VHF. Yagi is vertical. Seems odd that we can work fm but not ssb

Must be a propagation thing, though for these distances I didn't think 2M would change much. Maybe my house sunk deeper into the hole I live in. It must have. Last fall my mortgage company told me I'm now in a flood zone and have to pony-up $2,400/yr for flood insurance.

Good learning experience. It's just as important to know what doesn't work as what does.

I worked all weekend and have some critical thinking to do in the a.m. so I just shut down.
