For me, the match Garand and the Bula M14. May as well shoot the 'man's rifle' and assuming no pit service for last relay, I'll have a better chance of seeing the holes.

I'm thinking a FN FAL would be a great project, so I can show up to the next Modern Military in Rhodesian short shorts.

Was a great day. I shot my high score of the season but won't (can't actually ) brag... though I managed to keep all within the scoring rings. I need to see better and need to figure out that aspect before next season. I'll add these couple pics I took.

I’m really glad I came out to my first match. Definitely will be back, a lot of fun and a good atmosphere. I’m pretty surprised I shot better with the AK than the Garand, but maybe I can flip that around with a bit more practice over the winter.

Hanson Rod and Gun has a CMP/NRA Highpower shoot.
Its very laid back 50 round format 100 yard reduced targets. Not a “match” but more very intro introductory shoot.
