.22LR options

Another vote for the SR22. 2000 rounds through and not a single issue. These guns will shoot anything. Feels great in the hand. For revolvers I like the S&W M63. Had that and a S&W 617. While the 617 was great it was a bit on the heavy side for a day at the range especially shooting 22s. No recoil issues so go with the lighter gun. M63 is 8 shots and a straight shooter.
 
I'm the biggest ruger fanboy you will ever meet. And I just think the MK and 22/45 have it all over the SR22. The SR22 seems to exist in a never land between a target gun and a gun that closely replicates your defensive gun. It does neither well.

A basic Mk costs about the same as an SR22 and is vastly more accurate.

I own MKs because they are more accurate than I am. I own Advantage Arms conversions for my 1911 and Glock so I can practice on "practical" guns with .22s.
