Finally got my tax stamp to build a 300 blackout with a 8.5inch barrel. Suggestions, comments, personal reviews on barrels for this build?

I like the 10.5" barrel I got from MAS Defense that's in my 300 Blackout pistol... [smile]

I also like the handguard I got from GunTecUSA. It's slant cut on the end, and I think it's a 12" version. Partially covers the muzzle device, but looks damned cool. Functions well too.

Here's how it sits right now...

I have ordered a Thordsen Customs cheek rest to replace the SigTac brace. Just waiting for it to arrive.

Here's my 300 blackout SBR. I ordered an 8.5" upper from radical firearms. It's been great so far.

10.5" 300 AAC BLACKOUT 1x8 STAINLESS STEEL BARREL is what I ordered... I got the black one (ordered the bright) but I installed it before I told them (the black one was a few dollars more at the time). Once it was installed, it couldn't be returned. No additional charges were made over the cost difference. [smile] I got the muzzle brake/device on the same order...

Didn't see the other post clearly (I blame the small picture [rofl2])... Still, good to know options...

IMO, the 1:8 twist will give you the best options for rounds you're going to feed it.

Any suggestions on a stainless 10.5" with 1:8 twist? I saw noveske but they say it runs optimal with a suppressor which I can't get....

8.5" Rainier Arms Select something or other with a Samson 7.6 hand guard. I have since ditched the eurotrash sights for a set of DD A1.5's and a PA T1 knock off, and got rid of that retarded Umbrella pistol grip for a BCM. It's probably my favorite blaster.

MAS has one... It's pistol length gas system. The one I got (back in 2013) is carbine length gas system. One of the goals/targets I had for that build (and most of the ones since) was maximum interchangability of parts. Since I don't have anything else in a pistol length system (and had no plans then, or now, to have one) I didn't see the point in going that route. Especially since I could get the carbine length system easily.

hows the accuracy with that barrel?

I don't get it: If you are clearly doing a stamp for the can, why not just stamp the lower at the same time? Integrally suppressed is cool and all but I agree that I would rather be able to swap the can around. You know, if I were allowed to do that.

Yeah, my 30cal can spends most of it's time on my 556 gun.
