I'm guessing you're talking about AR-10s, and by "gas block" you mean Direct Impingement?

It's the same with the AR-10 as with the 15...take care of it, and either will work.

I'd take the HK91 (or clone, only ptr91) over ar-10 all day. But I'd take a m1a and a ptr equally....

I wouldn't touch a piston system in either an AR 15 or AR 10 until they have been around long enough to develop a reputation for reliability. As far as I am cocncerned the jury is still out.
