.38 +P OK in in .357 ??

Can some one tell me if it would be alright to shoot 38 special +P loads in an older S&W model 19 .357 revolver ?

It would seem that you're OK, by a significant margin.

If its a 357 magnum itll take any 38 special load even plus p. You only have to worry about using plus p in older 38 special revolvers

My 19-3 is fed a steady diet of 38+p

Other than needing a good cleaning after, no issues at all.

The chambers need to be scrubbed afterward, as the .38s leave a ring of crud that prevents .357s from chambering. Otherwise, no problem.
