I am starting to reload and would like some advice.
What is prefered for reloading 45acp ?

185 gr. JHP

230 gr. FMJ

It depends on what you want to shoot. Same question you need to ask yourself when you buy ammo. If its for general plinking, it doesn't matter. If you're hunting, then it depends on the game. If you're striving for that consistent tack driving round, then you need to do some load development to find something that shoots well for you. I try to buy small varieties of different types of bullets and powders then make small lots of each with different powder charges.

That's a very good price if that's the total cost. Will a cast bullet work? It depends on the gun and the application. If so , you can cut the cost to about $80/1000 delivered.
