My father has a 45lc/410 derringer from cobray/leinad.

I've allways liked this stupid little gun and been wanting one or some thing like this.
Is there any that are mass approved?

No but if you want a single barrel version in the same caliber, I have one I don't mind parting with. I bought it at the Marlboro gun show a few years back on a whim and it's cool, but I'll never carry it or anything. I'll let it go for what I paid for it plus I'll throw in a mostly full box of .410 and a mostly full box of .45LC (Hornady hollowpoints... nice rounds.).

Send me a PM if interested. I'll be at the Excruciathlon if you wanna transfer it FTF before or afterwards.

Good deal. Add me to your list of potential buyer. If Ben not interested, I'll be second. [wink]

I"ve been collecting since the late 90's and I still make stupid mistakes from time to time. I paid $250 for my Cobray single barrel .410/ .45LC from Pete's Gun Shop at the Marlboro show 3 years ago. I'd never seen one in MA before and I'm all "Sweet man I'll take that thing!" Rookie mistake. They're worth like $100. Just a reminder to find out what shit's worth before you plop down dough!

The Cobrays are made kinda crappy... Look for one of the Bond arms derringer instead, "the caddy" of derringers. You can buy barrels in many calibers from 38-410/45lc for it. There are no new derringers that are MA compliant. but there are older one or ones brought into the state, so you gotta look but they are out there.
Cobra/Davis derringers are easier to find used, but still not MA. compliant. They will run from about $150ish. They also have interchangable barrel to shoot from a 22-32 or the big bore Cobras shoot 9mm-357. Not the highest quality gun but pretty cool none the less. Very easy to conceal and makes you feel like Jim West.

I know you can get part kits for them and if you can do some brazing you can have one for less then 100$
I just can't find the number of who makes the kit. I used to have it saved.

I just wanted a cheap 45/410 for shits and giggles. I would want to pay big money for a little two shit gun. I'd get the governor instead .
