You tube typically has all this shit. Not sure on Tesla but on most cars its a diy job. Ive done a bjnch and if it takes an hour im surprised. Not including wiring.
it is very easy.
put car on ramps.
with left hand lift the hitch up and push it against the car. with right hand - put in the bolts. tighten it all up.
That's why OP needs the bike rack....for when it goes Firestarter, they can still get to the destination.
One note OP - make sure the rack is off the car, when you go for your inspection. It's an obstructed plate, and technically a fail. Once, I was waiting for my sticker, and I saw the car in front of me failed, due to a hitch-mounted carrier. IIRC it was for a wheelchair
