It's for looks only. Comps do not do a thing for a 22 pistol except add weight to the front of the pistol.
Did you ever see an Olympic 22 pistol with a comp?
"Blacks"?I tried one on a Mark IV just to see if it made any difference and it did. Without it, I can get all blacks easily on the 10 yard range. With it, I get 7 blacks and what looks like 3 flyers. Take it off and back to 10 blacks. Put it on, 7 and 3 again, every time. It seems like the 3rd, 6th and 9th rounds are the more common deviants. Why? I have no idea and I'm not going to work on finding a solution but it didn't change anything for me besides my score. It now resides in a box.
Tandemkross."Blacks"?
Yes. Well, ported if that counts. Walther OSP is factory ported/comp'ed...It's for looks only. Comps do not do a thing for a 22 pistol except add weight to the front of the pistol.

.22 cans are the only cans that I typically leave on the gun most of the time. They are so light, they don't affect how the guns handle.
A Ruger 22/45 Lite doesn't balance right unless it has a can on it.
