AR carry handle

A buddy gave me a detachable carry handle off of his Armalite M4 as he'll never use it. I notice that the elevation drum has one solid marking of 6/3 and then a 4, and later a 5 around the drum. I remember my AR's that had fixed carry handles and they had the marking of 8/3. Waay back when qualifying, I remember the dope for my rifle was 8/3 -2 for the 200 yd course of fire. Whats the difference? is this carry handle shorter in height to use a 6/3 designation?

Nevermind. I found and read up on the differences and the improved battle sight zero, gonna have to give that a try.
