AR15 feed ramp needs to be filed

I have a Bushmaster XM15-E2S with standard feed ramps. In getting jams from the left side stack of magazines. Looks like the bullet nose is catching just under the ramp.

In general, is it OK to file down a bit to ease the edge?

If you mean the barrel extension, it's hardened, and likely will not file.

You'll need a stone.

I had to do this very thing to one of mine. Little touch with a dremel stone and polished it up and fixed the problem 100%.

i had to do this with mine, used a needle file and was able to correct the problem
