SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Looking to get some practice on your archery skills? MassWildlife has just opened a new and free range that will be available all summer long in Southampton.
This is the first time MassWildlife has ever opened a temporary public archery range in Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) across the state. The range will give people a place to practice with their archery equipment ahead of the upcoming hunting seasons this fall. The range is free to use but does require a pass, which can easily be obtained on the Mass.gov website. More than 400 permits have already been issued since the beginning of June.
