Yeah but chances are removing the brace from the tube might still keep it in pistol land. Crutch tip mafia lolJust remember, if they classify pistols as SBRs, it's the same penalty if you just drill a third hole.

I think there's a date for a date...No ruling on this yet. Correct?
Ok.I think there's a date for a date...
So, if you do an amnesty with a braced gun, are the brace and the gun married, or once it's an SBR can you upgrade to a real stock?ATF has submitted a supporting statement for changing the Form 1 to accommodate a limited amnesty and waiving of the $200 tax for when people are forced to NFA register, destroy, or surrender their firearms to the government once the ATF declares most braced pistols to be SBRs in December.
Justification for OMB 1140-0011 (ATF F 5320.1) 8.31.2022 - OMB 1140-0011

sounds like it, or don't bother to register it and since it is a felony add the stock and a giggle switch. So, if you do an amnesty with a braced gun, are the brace and the gun married, or once it's an SBR can you upgrade to a real stock?
I just think it’s so stupid the reinterpretation. Either pass it through Congress or change the constitution. Making shit up as you go along is no form of legitimate government
Kids get thier lunch money stolen by the bully, they say so what, I wasn't hungry anyway. Easier than fighting.Remember when everyone was saying things like:
“Bump stocks are stupid anyways so who cares.”
Who could have thought the ATF wouldn’t stop there.
News flash to all the idiots who held the above opinion: It won’t stop with pistol braces either unless you cucks understand that anything, no matter how much you don’t personally care about (like bump stocks), is a SIGNIFICANT matter that needs fighting for.
If you haven’t been paying attention, they’re currently also going after FRT’s, binary triggers, receivers (both complete and 80%), and worse, any and all firearm components.
or take the brace off and it stays a pistol, no need to register.sounds like it, or don't bother to register it and since it is a felony add the stock and a giggle switch.
You're not going to be able to remove the stock and claim its not an SBR. The ATF has always enforced "once an SBR, always and SBR".
Mark my words they are going to come after every person they can find a social media post on with a brace that they don't find a Form1 for.
What? You're not going to be able to remove the stock and claim its not an SBR. The ATF has always enforced "once an SBR, always and SBR".
Mark my words they are going to come after every person they can find a social media post on with a brace that they don't find a Form1 for.
Good luck with that. You're not going to be able to remove the stock and claim its not an SBR. The ATF has always enforced "once an SBR, always and SBR".
Mark my words they are going to come after every person they can find a social media post on with a brace that they don't find a Form1 for.
This makes no sense to me and sounds more like fear mongering than fact. You're not going to be able to remove the stock and claim its not an SBR. The ATF has always enforced "once an SBR, always and SBR".
typically that would be how its done but I think they will deal with it differently in this caseYou're not going to be able to remove the stock and claim its not an SBR. The ATF has always enforced "once an SBR, always and SBR".
Mark my words they are going to come after every person they can find a social media post on with a brace that they don't find a Form1 for.
You guys are taking "once a machine gun, always a machine gun' too farI was going to say you can on SBR an SBR..
I don’t member what it was I thought it was like once a pistol always a pistol or possibly once a rifle always a rifle I forget which one
I think it’s once a rifle always a rifle you can’t turn it back into a pistol that’s why when you build an ar 15 pistol you’re supposed to get it transferred to you as a pistol..
I stop paying attention all of this, because I don’t buy new guns anyway.
You are right about Trump opening the door with the bump stock thing
Theres something about pistols and rifles too I just don’t remember what it is but yes once a machine gun always a machine gun. But why would you want to unmachine gun a machine gun? Maybe if you’re an FFL and you built it as a machine gun and you wanted to keep it as a semi After you give up your FFL?You guys are taking "once a machine gun, always a machine gun' too far
FIFYThey should be removing the NFA not adding more items.. It’s just a slow march towards total restriction
Mark my words they are going to come after every person they can find a social media post on with a brace that they don't find a Form1 for.
This makes no sense to me and sounds more like fear mongering than fact.
If an AR pistol that has a brace was never 'registered' as an SBR, how the hell can the ATF claim it's always been an SBR if I remove the brace and toss it into the wood chipper? Is the ATF a bunch of mystics that somehow knew you once had a brace on your AR pistol? How would they have known what you had on it at any given time in the past?
Now, if someone was stupid enough to post a picture of their AR pistol with a brace on Twatter or some other social media cesspool, I would call that self inflicted stupidity. Designer social media will bring down a lot of idiots in the end, and that's a good thing IMHO.
That example aside, let's not get all panicky here folks and try and keep our wits about us, shall we?
The people stupid enough to let them in their house, turn their shit over without a warrant.
