Will having my 10/22 bull barrel threaded affect the accuracy in any measurable way? Assuming the threading doesn't screw up the crown or something, is there any reason it should have an adverse effect?

The "done correctly" part is probably key.

Based on what I'm seeing for getting this done competently I may just buy a new one that's already threaded.

Compare prices with having a gunsmith thread the barrel. Unless you want to have a spare barrel on hand that is. All that's really needed is a decent lathe (and correct tooling) to thread the barrel end.

Anyone know any place around here that will do it? I found someone on the internets that will do it for $110 including an end cap. I would pay a little more to have it be local and have at least one recommendation.

If the barrel is out of the gun it would be $135.00 to turn, thread, drill, pin and weld a brake. If you only want to have the barrel turned and threaded it will be $100.00
