I rpobably got there shortly after you left. I was running late.
Pin shoots have started at BS (formerly Bob's ) - every other Thursday night. Last Thursday was the first night, so a week from tomorrow (the 9th?) will be the next one. Call for more info on the shoots (and remember - the range is heated now - yipee!!) 978-465-5561
Do they use real pins? Or do they have steel pin plates?
I haven't done a pin shoot in years, but I might just stop in some time and give it a try.....
Hmmm. I may have to stop in this weekend to find out more about the pin shoots...
When are you planning on being there Jay?
Drove up there on Saturday to check out a 1911 clone someone had told me about, and I had a fantastic experience. Got to try out the gun, and they didn't charge me a rental or range fee, even thought I didn't end up buying it. Ed was great - he talked to me at length about what kind of gun I wanted, and ultimately helped me to decide not the buy the gun. I was clearly a newbie, and he easily could have fed me a bunch of lines and probably could have sold me the gun. But he didn't, he gave it to me straight, and I really appreciate and respect that.
The same goes for the kid who was working behind the counter (I don't remember what his name was, but I think it was Russian or Eastern European). He was probably new, because he didn't seem to know a lot, but he made a great effort to answer all my questions, and provided great customer service.

If the shop weren't so far out of my way, I'd be there every week! But the next time I'm taking my unlicensed friends to rent guns, we'll swing by there instead of the Boston Gun Range, even if BGR has a better rental selection.
The only thing I didn't like about the shop was the three full cases of guns with a big sign on them that says, "New Hampshire Residents Only, Not Mass Compliant." It was just another reminder of what a crappy state I live in...
