Interesting conversation with an LEO tonight about this same topic. He said that the last thing he'd look for is a pre-ban magazine. He just wants to make sure you are licenced properly. They aren't making judgements, nor are trained to detect what is a pre-ban and what's not. He said he understands and respects the desire to carry legally, but doesn't care in the least that you've got a high cap post ban in your glock as long as you've got a license for it and you're not pointing it in his vicinity. He also went on to say he recently read that most charges (up to 70%) of cases for gun violations don't stick, aren't prosecuted, or are dismissed.
