An Army Accident Investigation and Collateral Board will release their findings at some point determining the causal factors of the crash. If historical findings prevail, sadly the cause will be most likely be pilot error. Such was the case in most helicopter fatalities in Vietnam. What surprises me about this crash is that the UH-60 has a stability augmentation system that the UH-1 Huey, which I'm far more familiar with, did not.

Im a 60 driver, the SAS and FPS doesnt do much more than dynamic stability. I havent heard any rumors about the crash yet. From what I saw with the weather is possible IIMC. Thats my thoughts and its a trajedy to say the least.
