Ok guys I have the chance to pick up a Browning B80 in perfect shape for a decent price.. My question is it says 3" magnum only... Will this gun not cycle with a 2 3/4" load or a lite load?? Is there a way to modify it to work with a 2 3/4" shell? I have read you can pick up a baretta 301,302 or a 303 barrel and it will fit.. I have read good reviews and a few people saying it "should" be ok with a 2 3/4". What are your thought.

I believe depending when it was made.....pre 198X something it was 3" only. They had a recoil adapter or something to allow 2 3/4 " shells. The later B80 plus guns are labeled 3" & 2 3/4". As for accepting beretta parts yes the A303 is the same gun.... Browning was licensed to manufacture them as the b80.

Thank you! I think I will be the owner of a new to me browning. Just need to find this recoil adapter and I will be good to go. I'm sure it's cheaper then another barrel.

I'm not sure if just changing the barrel will do it? Or just installing the recoil adapter will. E enough. I forget.
I would give browning a call. Also Midwest gun works they do a lot with. Brownings older guns and have a good amount of parts.
