Bushmaster A2M4 Rifles

Owns? - NO.
Opinion - It may be ok, or it may have a tight chamber and out of spec parts.
It is not as versatile as a flat top since you are stuck with the carry handle.

What else would you like to know?

I had a Bushmaster A2 M-4 a few years ago. It was super reliable and quite accurate for a chrome lined 1/9 16" carbine. I ended up selling it to finance an A4 M4 build (on a RRA Lower)

Prices seem to be easing a bit right now so it could be a reasonably good time to buy. Preban mags are generally about $20 a piece if you look around. Ammo is also starting to show up, although it is still a bit pricey.

I would go with the flat top with the detachable carry handle. Best of both worlds IMO.

While I've never been a huge fan of Bushmaster rifles, my opinion has shifted from not liking them for aesthetic reasons, (preferred the fit and finish of my Colt over Bushmaster), to one of quality. It seems to be since Bushmaster was swallowed up, QC has gone pretty much out the window. Improperly cut chambers, loose, un-staked or poorly staked carrier keys, poor triggers, etc...For the money you can do better.
