Buyer's remorse or am I too picky?

Guns are meant to be shot, not kept pristine and rubbed with a diaper.

My favorite gun came back from the range today full of snow and gravel...
 
The first scratch does suck though. I wouldn't worry about that. My personal pet peeve is holster wear from Kydex holsters. But the frame and slides can always be refinished.

In the meantime if that scratch is showing bear metal, consider keeping a close eye out for rust and oil it often.

Dear God I wish it was the end of the thread!

Like I said before, I'm new to collecting and didn't know if this was normal or not. None of my other new guns had any visible blemishes at all, but none of those were stainless.

I get it now, it's normal. Thank you everyone for your input [smile].
