Finally made the attempt to replace a broken firing pin in my Winchester Model 94 lever-action rifle. What a pain in the ass!
Actually, the disassembly went fine, I replaced the firing pin, and everything went back together with no problems - until the end.
Now, everything functions - bolt locks up tight, hammer and trigger function, etc. BUT - the bolt will only retract about an inch when lowering the lever before it gets hung up. I've taken it apart and put it back together about three times now, and I still get the same result.
Any hints from you lever experts?
