I just picked up a shotty in trade a rem 870 synthetic camo stock

And it stinks of cigarette smoke smell... any way to get this out?

Well, looks like it's not the gun - but the case. But had the stock and forend been the issue AND you wanted a color match, you could Duracoat the shotgun black and get a stock and forend to match.

Put the 870 in a bag hooked to an ozone generator - no game spooking smells and destroys the odor.

I stayed at a 3-star hotel last week in Upstate NY - a mix of travelers and blue-collar workers. The CNN TV playing at 630a in the breakfast area was punctuated by several adults going “Ahhh-HUCK, cough, swallow ". I’m sure all that hacks up after a few hours, right?

But, yeah - I had wondered why Ham Radio used gear ads mentioned "smoke-free", until I bought a used tuner. It reeked of smoke. I wiped it down externally and put it in a big plastic bag with a HEPA-Ozone filter running for a day and it was just mildly smokey.
