How long should brass be cleaned? I have a Dillon CV-500, and not sure how long it needs to run. How long do you guys using a similar machine run it to get good results?

Mine only usually takes about an hour to get nice and clean, but that's with new media and a Lyman Turbo 1200 tumbler.

I would say just put it in for an hour, stop the tumbler and check the brass. If it looks clean, and feels clean it's ok to stop. If not, or not as clean as you would like, let it go for another hour and check it again.

Here's a tip that I have found to REALLY cut down on the time it takes to clean brass in a tumbler. Spray the walnut shell media with Glass Plus window cleaner. You don't need to use much, just make sure it says "contains no ammonia" on the bottle. You will be amazed.
