Colorado House Passes Semiautomatic Firearm Ban

Is there some kind of clearing house where these gun grabbers go to get the wording for these bills? This sounds like a carbon copy of what Massachusetts recently passed. If I'm not mistaken there are one or two other states with very similar laws or proposed bills.

SCOTUS really needs to address this movement. More and more states will jump on this anti gun bandwagon until they act.

Bloomberg money at play here.

This is just the CO house passing a bill. We'll see if it clears the senate and gets signed, and if it stands up at all in court.
Some people are the glass is half empty or the glass is half full......myself I am the glass is 3/4's empty kind of guy.

Heller and Bruen laid out things about as clearly as can be expressed.

The "Courts" and more specifically the SCOTUS have yet to seriously put the hammer down on the dozens of blatant Heller and Bruen violations all over the country.

Harry,

Your not wrong.....it took them a while to figure it out, but Dems feel they can go big or go home now and just use the in state protection of lower courts until the Supreme Court decides to slap them.

That's where we are....and they are emboldened to do that even if it gets them 2-3 years of what they want.

Of course......the supreme court isn't doing shit....so that further emboldens them.

If your in a shithead state as far as gun rights go....enjoy it. Cause it aint changing anytime soon.

It sucks. Years ago, long before it became fashionable, I got into many discussions with some over the 2nd Amendment. I said back then, and continue to this day, said the 2A ain't worth the paper it's written on. I warned back then to stop voting for Democrats and start paying close attention to Judges. Whoever controls the Courts will control America and the Constitution. Many laughed at me.

If you are a rabid Leftist you look at who you are fighting. These Leftist realize that the vast majority of gun owners in America have failed to step up and become a 2A Soldier and join the few who are fighting a losing battle.

Until this changes the Rabid Leftists have little reason to be concerned about us.

SCOTUS needs to step in and declare it, and all similar legislation, unconstitutional. The left is arrogant, power hungry scum, and they'll lose in the end because they only take rights away and want more control. Thank God for Mitch delaying Obama's choice of Garland and that Trump beat Hillary to install correct judges. Dems take our guns, suppress our speech, make sure that our kids are brainwashed, and have the media spreading their propaganda.

Yep, the halfwit in MA who “drafted” the legislation literally just cut and pasted it from whatever national gun grabber group gave him the Word document. You have to remember that 99% of pols are complete and utter f*ckwits who can’t chew gum and walk at the same time.

I won't hold my breath , Blue is not my color.
Roberts is waiting to be told how to vote and Barrett is going "Thanks for the appointment ..suckers."

The usual circuits uphold everything and Scotus refuses to touch ban cases that affect more than general handguns.

Since this does include handguns and that affects conceal carry, SCOTUS may take this up, but that's not a guarantee it'll be struck down as the court seems to believe the state can regulate firearms, they just can't tell you you aren't allowed to outright own certain classes or be denied for no reason to getting a license to carry.

You can be denied for not passing safety tests written in Sanskrit or failing to hit a dime at 500 yards 10 shots in a row with a P365.

Really unfortunate to see Colorado fall. For a time I was cautiously optimistic Colorado would go the other way. Honestly I'd probably move there if they had Wyoming style gun rights. Leadville is one of my favorite places in the lower 48. Alas, the f*****s from California and all over care more about faux environmentalist, banning everything, and skiing than the Constitution.
