Firearm License Address Alert

Not really. It was a lesser known/cared about fact about 35 years ago, at least to me and probably others and really should be taken to heart.

I almost got hung up on my renewal due to a change of address. I bought a house 2 miles down the road from a condo complex where we were renting one and within the same town. I had about 3-4 months when it would expire but that was the last thing on my mind at the time between moving with a 6 month old, cancelling then turning on utilities, getting a room ready for the baby and any place else he would be, getting appliances, repairs, etc..

Long story short, when I went to renew, the licensing officer (who was known to be a dickhead, since replaced) spent an extra 15 minutes going over the minutia and weighing his opinion on the balance beam of justice to do so before granting my privilege.
Your biggest mistake was not moving out of MA...or at least out of the town with the dickhead cop.

but it is not a right, as if it is licensed - it is by definition - a privilege. you gave up your right when you agreed to a license.
This....needing a special state mandated license that has to be approved by anyone in government to own a gun is a clear violation of 2A. I have no idea why that still stands. Shall issue does not make anything different from the fact they can use unconstitutional laws against you to pull your special license, and you have to pay in time, money and a lot of bullshit in commie states to have that special license.

My prediction is that a mailing like this will provide them with the cover to accidentally leak the entire list.
They already did, more or less. The two 'published' databases could be cross-referenced to ID someone and what guns are on their state record. There was some discussion here about whether or not the data could actually be used to find someone. There was a guy who basically called many of us 'tards and bed-wetters over the usefulness of that data. Found him, his list of guns, and a Google Earth pic of his house in a couple minutes.

If that isn't a concern, your local PD can pull up your list of firearms on record.

yes, and people just tend to forget the origin and actual meaning of the word 'license' - when a lord issues a partial limited permission to use his supreme right to his vassals.

a 'right' you have cannot be licensed, that is all i meant. so, anything licensed means your 'right' to this topic had been revoked -like a right to travel on public roads, and anything else pretty much, that requires your lord to inspect your ass and make a decision if you are worthy or not to be allowed to participate, with a fee.

USPO only forwards mail for x months (I think it is 6) after you give them a notice of a change of address. After that, everything that is 1st class mail gets returned to sender as undeliverable.

Most mail addressed to the prior homeowner in NH gets returned to sender and is not found in my mailbox.
Wonder if this varies by post offices or letter carrier. I get mail for former residents weekly, well after they left. Have notified the PO and it’s still delivered.

Unfortunately, yes as it's probable cause. Something else to blow your mind - you can't Red Flag a gang member as they don't have an LTC. I could be Red Flagged EX-Parte by my brother (who hates me and is in prison) and would result in confiscation until I get my day in court - usually takes months.

The kicker is everything you own will look like it's been in Ukraine for the entire time. Just looking at the images of police confiscation, laying them on pavement, throwing them in pickup trucks and so on. I take really good care of mine, some are really expensive meaning thousands. That more than anything would really piss me off and there is nothing you can do about it besides post on NES.

Still in the same town, different COP but you be you from parts unknown, and I like my town. I'd be crawling up the walls if I moved off the coast and will always be N.E. coastal.

We get mail for the people we bought from over a year ago. Even worse, we get mail from the original owners who have been gone close to seven years now. We occasionally get make for someone we never even heard of.

I've just started tossing it in the trash, I don't even try to get this fixed any more.

I took a piece to the post office recently that came to my house with a different street name, I explained the problem. They thanked me and brought it back again the next day. The streets are across town and names not similar but hey the number was right. Now that's service.

When they come for you if they use the Post Office's help I'm sure it will be the wrong address.

Not really a mind blower, since a gang member will not have an LTC to revoke, and possession of firearms in MA is illegal without an FID or LTC.
