Consignment, Trade or Private Sale?

I have a post-ban Bushmaster XM15 .223/5.56 that I'm thinking of selling to put towards a SIG556 HOLO. What would be the best way for me to get top dollar? Private sale? Consignment? Trade?

If the AWB 2.0 becomes a reality, would waiting to sell it after the ban is in place command even more $?

Private sale will definitely net you the most money. Consignment you'll likely have to raise the price to factor in the percentage the store will take which could lengthen the time it takes to sell the gun. The trade route could equal a private sale depending on the terms of the trade but there can be a lot of factors there.
