Police make arrest in Portland shooting
Portland police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a 24-year-old on Park Avenue Wednesday night.
Police on Friday afternoon charged Daudoit Butsitsi, also 24, with the murder of Serge Mulongo.
Mulongo, a 24-year old who had immigrated to Portland from the Congo, was found dead outside the apartment building at 218 Park Ave. where he had been attending a social gathering Wednesday night, police said.
Police said they arrested Butsitsi at the police station following a number of interviews.
Butsitsi is scheduled to be arraigned at Cumberland County Superior Court on Tuesday.
He is being held at Cumberland County jail without bail.
