I finally got a chance to shoot my CZ 527 Varminter .223. Since the wind was blowing pretty good I opted for objects, instead of paper. I was shooting clay pigeons at 80 to 120 yards. Never touched the scope (Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40mmAO) after I boresighted it, zeroed at 150 yards. Set the trigger at 3lb standard and 6oz single set. I put a Harris 13..25" bipod on her. I was using 55gr sp Hornady ammo. 1st I broke 12 clays in 12 shots, then I started making the pieces smaller. This thing is a tack driver. The trigger is hands down, amazing. One thing that CZ does not advertise is the Chamber is a CIP rated, which means that Military ammo is no issue and the rifle is guaranteed for all 5.56x45 and .223 ammo.
What a sweet rig!
Here is the $ breakdown:
Rifle, $570.00 (Savage started at 610.00, Remington at 700.00)(Rileys)
Rings, $51.00 (Proprietary to CZ)(Rileys)
Scope, $174.00 (Rileys)
Bi-pod, 68.00 (On line)
Total, $863.00
Pic shows it w/ a cheaper bipod that moved to a cheaper rifle.
