Won't help anyone, but I ordered a 'like new' Leupold freedom scope from amazon. $200 instead of the $300 list. Condition was excellent - if you see an amazon-sold used scope I'd say go for it.

Primary had these for around 1200 back in May. I grabbed one with one of their discount days. Obtained it for 1075. Debating grabbing another at this price.I see their list price at $1800, which is what the Trijicon website says. But I don't remember ever seeing them close to $1,200.
I was checking them out months ago while the wife was waiting for her citizenship ceremony.
So I bought this in February and now won’t charge so going to order another and seeNoco chargers on woot. $75 for the GB40

Car GO with NOCO chargers!

Just a note on the Credo HX for those lusting after a VCOG, but don't want to go the $1,800. The Credo compares favorably to the VCGO, same reticle (but with both red and green illumination), basically same glass. The major difference is the VCOG is designed for military use: AA batteries instead of CR2032, capped turrets with NO markings (once zeroed you don't touch the turrets) vs exposed turrets resettable to zero, built-in mount and a bit lighter. Since I hope to never have to use the scope in combat, I think the Credo is the better of the two.Closeout on Trijicon Credo HX 1-8x28 FFP w/ Red/Green MOA Segmented Circle at eurooptic.

I have its predecessor, the Trijicon 1-8x28 AccuPower (same optics, but with only red illumination). Paid $1099 when its was on closeout 5 years ago when it was being replaced by the Credo. It is by far the best LPVO I own. Fantastic glass and a true 1X that allows you to use it as a prism red dot if you want. Plus, with the Trijicon mount, it perfectly co-witnesses with the popup iron sights on a SCAR 17.

Yeah, if I bought something and it did not live up to expectations, my first reaction would NOT be to get another as a replacement. You might be better served buying a different unit.
Light saysWhat is wrong with it?
Lithium batteries should last a good long time. Years not months. You might be better served buying a different unit.
Mt favorite is when im at the range shooting next to someone with their $800 aimpoint and me with my $99 primary arms shooting identical groups as they are. Im 5"5 (230)lbs. If shit ever goes down, my cardio will fail me long before my red dot will.I always wonder why people cheap out so bad on guns and accessories
Is that really something to be proud of?
I have 20 crap guns and 20 Chinese red dots…
oooooh, Impressive
Quality over Quantity
At 3 yards it does not make much of a difference lol.Mt favorite is when im at the range shooting next to someone with their $800 aimpoint and me with my $99 primary arms shooting identical groups as they are. First one I bought was maybe 5 years ago in my 16" 7.62x54r vepr and its been fantastic. Few thousand rounds later still fine as is the red dots ive put on my other rifles. If it makes you sleep better at night to spend more, have at it. Ill use the extra money to keep stacking ammo.At 3 yards it does not make much of a difference lol.
I’m expecting to last more that 5 minutes

Illuminates Red if reverse polarity is detected, or blinks “On” and “Off” when the internal battery temperature is too high.
Wasn’t hot and wasn’t reversed as it wasn’t even hooked up.
I actually do some real training and a lot of actual competitions.First one I bought was maybe 5 years ago in my 16" 7.62x54r vepr and its been fantastic. Indeed. If i was doing comps and more rugged training I would without a doubt buy something that is proven to be more durable. My stuff isn't getting banged around so its not a big deal for me.I actually do some real training and a lot of actual competitions.
(That’s not a dig on you I promise)
So I can justify the added expense.
I want stuff that I can trust. I cheaped out a long time ago and learned due to some failures, buy once, cry once.
You do what is right for you.![]()

Not surewhat's their warranty policy?
Home Depot has 2 Husky 1200 lumen rated rechargable flashlights on sale for $20. Normally $35 each. I know these are pedestrian for the real flashlight heads but probably decent for the average person. Have to add 2 to see the discount.

Their warranty policy is buy another and swap it. I think that is everyone’s policy now (even if THEY don’t think it is). Warranties are for women and people with ‘morals’.Not sure

“Would you like to buy an extended warranty sir?”
“No. As a matter of fact, I don’t even want the regular warranty thank you very much. Deduct that from my bill please.”
Not a bad deal...
For $28, you might as well buy two pair.
Dang doesnt seem like they have my size. Walking the dog on the road wears out my good boots quickly, I'd try something like this
