Deals and steals

I haven’t ordered from Midway in almost 2 years so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. If you lived closer to me I’d buy it for you lol. But I know you’re in western MA 😂
I will say, midway USA's customer service reps are polite and prompt in their replies. I was surprised to see the chat function available on a Sunday morning.

when I asked why I am not seeing the discount applied I received this response from the respectful rep:
"Thank you for verifying that information. I apologize for the promotion code not working. The 20MUSA code that is being promoted by posts is only available to specific customers that receive an email for the code. We actively try to report the posts that are advertising these posts that claim the code is for everyone to try and reduce confusion and irritation for the code. We apologize for this inconvenience."

when I asked if they could apply it to my cart for me and that I would check out I was told

"I apologize, but due to the code being implemented on accounts by the system, we are unable to manually add codes to accounts for customers to use. We apologize for this inconvenience."

is what it is I suppose.

I have an Anderson carbine upper I got from a bud who lost his LTC. It’s on an Anderson lower and shoots well, eats everything I’ve fed it just fine. Don’t have that many rounds though it but it’s run every time I shot it
I may pick this up just cause I’m a sucker for a deal lol

I feel like you can’t go wrong for $200 with bcg and CH

Wasn’t exactly sure whether to post it here or the barbecue thread.

Have you seen any decent deals on backyard grills ?
My egg’s grill - bottom ash catch and air damper fell off - hinge loops rusted out, all gaskets a , cast-iron griddle is gone as well, and I’m tired replacing parts on it.

Looking for something that will do it all - with closed and open lid. Having rotisserie option would be a plus.
Something that won’t rust out in five seasons.
Always leaning towards charcoal grills as they do produce more even temperatures throughout grilling surface, better than gas ones. The flavor is always better on charcoal as well.
I never really got into smoking much as I don’t have time for it, but rather Korean or Brazilian grilling type - for meat, chicken, fish, and burgers as well as vegetable dishes.
Budget is $700 - 800
I’d appreciate any help with this.
Internet search is cluttered with to much crap.

I realize it probably isn't quite what you are looking for. I recently bought a Recteq pellet grill/smoker. It can hold temp spot on. The app is very handy to keep an eye on meat temp. So far, I have mostly used it for smoking, but it can grill equally well. You would need a power source though, unlike charcoal. I have been impressed with the build quality.

Thanks @Choctaw , but you’re correct - I’m definitely leaning towards charcoal.

Let me know when you get a new one and test it with some lamb.

🍽️
I almost ruined some good steaks last night because I had almost no control of the draft on the windy night with the grill that had no bottom to it.
I was able to save them, but they weren’t cooked the way I wanted to.
And the wife said - I’m buying you a new grill, just point a finger at it. Lol

Home depot right now has a couple nexgrills on super sale. One is $250 from $500 and the other is $400 from $800. The more expensive one has an off set smoker with it. If I was in the market I’d buy it. In store only though

Patience pays off. The .300 Blackout pistol configuration I've wanted was a 10.5", but almost no one offered them.

I ordered this at $199.95 (no BCG/CH).

There a metric shit ton of places that offer a 10.5 inch barreled pistol upper. Grid defense, Bear Creek, Anderson.....etc.

That is still a real good price and palmetto is good to go......
