They are neat, but not even close to comparable to actual ham radios.

They are likely as useful as any other FRS bubble pack radios, handy tho for sure.
Ordered a case, hard not to at that price. Plus, I tried out my new 75 round drum mag today, so 150 rounds downrange put a small (ok, tiny) dent in my stash.

No problem smoking a large bird, it's an 18" barrel and will do two 8 lb shoulders or 9 racks of ribs. Smoke time goes by weight, so a good two input temperature probe is a must. The temperature gauge it comes with is lame, I'm thinking of getting a fitting that I can silicone a probe into. Other than that it's built like a brick house, quality construction throughout.
